Another day of working in the yard and checking on my Plurk buddies, FB, and blogs. I've realized that it's nearly impossible to document every moment of my teacher duties! Ideas take root in my mind as I work in my garden. Unlike the soil, these ideas don't leave traces under my fingernails.
From Plurk today I found @teromakero's interesting shared link. Tero is a Special Education Teacher in Finland. He's a musician who majored in Cuban Music and works with children on the autism spectrum. Here's his link on teaching emerging technologies http://melaniewiscount.wikispaces.com/Teaching+Emerging+Technologies
http://www.mguhlin.org/- One of Miguel's blogs. He's moving from FB to Google+
I learned that today is Jean Craighead George's birthdate-July 2, 1919- (Julie of the Wolves, My Side of the Mountain)and that she's still alive! My Side of the Mountain is one of those books I'd like my students to experience.
From my iGoogle page:
National Archives- I saw that today was the day, back in 1890, that the Sherman Anti-Trust Act was approved.
Free Technology For Teachers Blog: "A Cleaner Internet" (http://acleanerinternet.com/) download to eliminate the comments and related videos on YouTube. (Would be very helpful in school!)
